Let’s Make Peace!

As the Muslims celebrate Eid al-Adha and we stride towards a New Year, I would like to reach out to all peace-loving people everywhere:

Let us stride resolutely towards
the Era of Universal Peace and Love
that religion and color not segregate us
nor high walls separate us.

Let us dispense with hatred and war,
with the futility of regret,
forgive and forget past pain,
relegate it behind an opaque curtain.

Let our primed pens pave the path
to peace with our neighbors.
Let art and music,
sport and technology,
convey our national pride.

Let us learn to live every moment
in joy and peace and love, together

with all the Children of Earth.
