Is it life, or a game?

With-out, it, life, is not the same.

Two halves an interval,

Perhaps, extra time.

You score a goal,

With the ball, over the line,

90 minutes,

Seems like,

90 years.

Full of hope and joy,

Happiness and tears.

Then comes the whistle,

The final score.

Did you, lose or win?

Or was your life

A draw?

Harold Schechner

Harold Irving Schechner was born in 1936. He was a ladies’ hairdresser in England. He came to live in Israel in 1984. For 16 years he worked as an emissary for a medical company in Israel.
He is happily married to Jeannette for 59 years. The have three children and eight grown-up grandchildren, three of whom are currently serving in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
