On June 13, 2022, Fonda Dubb was invited by the Mayor of Eilat to his office to show his gratitude and appreciation for her volunteering services over many years in Eilat. He presented Fonda with two books – My Eilat – A Story of a City and Eilat's Coral Reef.
Fonda's numerous volunteering services in Eilat include selling ESRA Ethiopian Embroidery on the Promenade; teaching English to Ethiopian children through the medium of cooking; visiting the Bayit Be-Lev Maccabi rehabilitation center every Friday to chat with patients and cheer them up with a touch or a smile, or just holding their hands; helping blind persons and accompanying them on tours; doing Creative Movement and Dance at Meuchad, a center for people with special needs. Fonda served as chairperson for Telfed in Eilat for many years, has given cooking demonstrations for WIZO and still organizes birthday parties, tutors English to the Russians who live in her retirement home, helps with functions at Yealim Community Center and gives food demonstrations there.
In 2012 at a reception at the Leonardo Hotel, Fonda was presented with the Miller Award by the Mayor Yitschak Ha-Levi for Woman of the Year for Volunteering in Eilat. Fonda has also received several awards from ESRA as an outstanding volunteer.
