Prior to coming to live in Israel in 1979 the Jewish Telegraph wrote: "She sold herself Israel". In Israel Sybil worked for the British Olim Society for many years. Later she worked as a legal secretary for a firm specializing in Intellectual Property Law. She enjoyed making jewelery and writing poetry and short articles - 13 of her articles were published in ESRA Magazine.
