Margo Donovan is from New York City. She graduated with an M.A. in Special Education from City University of NY. She was a Staff Developer and Teacher for adolescents with autism for NYC Department of Education. 

After retiring, in 2008, she came to live in Israel in Ashkelon with her husband. Since then, she has been volunteering in various capacities – she was the official greeter for new English speaking olim in Ashkelon; tutored in English at local schools and at the Ethiopian Center.

Her children and grandchildren all live in the United States.
