Dr Luba Zuk (Ph.D.) was born in Randfontein, South Africa, where she was brought up and educated. Luba received a B.Sc. in Physiotherapy from the Witwatersrand University Johannesburg, a Diploma in Special Education from the University of South Africa, an M.A. in Expressive Arts Therapy from Leslie College in the USA, and a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences from the University of Tel Aviv.

In 1975 she immigrated to Israel together with her husband Joe and their children Dorit and Jonathan.

She recently retired as a Senior Lecturer from the Physical Therapy Department, Sackler School of Medicine, where she headed the pediatric program for undergraduate and graduate students. She developed the "Zuk Evaluation" for motor problems, in children aged 4 – 8 years of age. The test was standardized for Israeli children, and is used in child development centers all over Israel. In 2010 the Child Development Centers in Israel bestowed a "Lifetime Achievement Award" on Luba for her worthy and important contribution to child development in Israel.

Luba has delivered papers at scientific meetings in the USA, Europe, South Africa and Australia. She is one of the authors of scientific research papers, published in several international, peer reviewed journals. She continues to work as a consultant for the Child Development Center of Meuchedet Health Fund in Kfar Saba, and to teach in the graduate program at the Tel Aviv University as well as supervising the research theses of students for their M.Sc.PT. degree.

Luba is a proud grandmother of Roie, Shonie and Neta.
