Ann Bar-Dov was born and raised in Brooklyn NY. She studied at Hunter College High School; SUNY Binghamton (BA in Judaic Studies); Hofen (Jerusalem Institute for Open, Experimental Education certification as a primary school teacher); Hebrew University; Haifa University; Wingate Institute (certification as a yoga teacher); countless seminars on every possible subject connected to education and health issues. Ann came to live in Israel in 1976. She moved to northern Israel in 1983 and has lived for the past 24 year in Eshhar, a "community settlement" near Karmiel. For more than thirty years she has worked as a Public Health Educator and yoga instructor. Her other interests include palmistry; jewelry making; folk dancing; choral singing; community volunteer work; writing (poetry and prose). Ann is married and has two children.
