In Loving Memory of Professor Claire Rabin

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we learned of the passing of Claire Rabin, a beloved professor of social work, couples' therapist, and dedicated trainer for ESRA's Counseling volunteers. Claire's untimely departure has left a void in the lives of her family, friends, colleagues, and the countless individuals she touched with her wisdom and guidance.

In her role as a couples' therapist, Claire displayed an uncanny ability to turn discord into harmony. Compassionate, empathetic, and discerning, she possessed an innate talent for facilitating communication, empowering couples to bridge the gaps in their relationships. Countless unions have been strengthened and saved through Claire's patient guidance.

Moreover, Claire's contributions extended beyond her direct work with clients. With a strong belief in the importance of sharing knowledge, she took to the press to write insightful articles about relationships. Through these publications which included ESRA Magazine* she aimed to shed light on the intricacies of human connection, offering invaluable advice and guidance to a wide audience. Her words resonated with readers, providing a beacon of hope and understanding in a complex world.

On retirement Claire joined ESRA and took upon herself to offer training, guidance and supervision. Introducing us to new theories and bringing in other disciplines to enhance her training programs we were enriched by her knowledge and skill. Recognizing the importance of giving back to her community, she devoted herself to mentoring and supporting individuals eager to make a difference in the lives of others. Through her thoughtful guidance and unwavering support, Claire empowered us to help those in need, creating a ripple effect of compassion and assistance that will be felt for years to come.

Claire will forever be remembered for her unwavering dedication, warmth, and steadfast commitment to bettering the lives of others. Her genuine compassion touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible imprint on the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.

In spite of the tragic loss of her son, Omri, Claire continued in her role with ESRA.

Claire is survived by Yossi, her husband, her children Shani and Noa and grandchildren and will be greatly missed by her friends, colleagues, and those whose lives she enriched. May her legacy live on through the countless individuals she impacted, continuing to inspire others to build meaningful, harmonious relationships in an ever-evolving world.
