Bet She'arim in Bloom

Israel's eagerly awaited late winter cyclamen and anemones (Israel's national flower) bloom in the Bet She'arim National Park. The most famous tomb in this ancient necropolis is that of Rabbi Yehudah HaNasi, the editor of the Mishna (c.200 CE). He was president of the
Sanhedrin. During his lifetime it was based in the main part of the town — on the hill above — and in nearby Tzippori (Sepphoris).
