A View From My Window

Monet's garden?

No but what a view

From my window at Beth Protea

I view

Greenery and color

Of white, red and blue shrubs, flowers and trees

Which fill the eyes with delight

To hear the birds sing in the early morning light

To wake up to another day of sheer delight

To witness a day of splendor

To capture every sight

No human disturbs the photograph of life

No reflections of the ugly war

Just this God given view of nature and purity of the soul

Which allows me to breathe and smell the scent of flowers with sheer delight

And thank the Lord for this panoramic view

Which lasts from early daylight till night

When darkness falls

And birds lay still

All is quiet

And nothing disturbs

the "memory" of my view

It's embedded in my soul

As an "experience" of life.

And with gratitude

Lay my head on my pillow

To sleep at night.
