O HOW was your summer? Did you spend time abroad, or did you explore and enjoy this fascinating country of ours?

Judging by the entries featured here, it looks like competitors to this, our second photo contest, made the most of it. 

And congratulations go to Hylton Bark, of Rehovot, whose photo 'Cooling off' at Jaffa Port was judged the best. He receives a 32GB SanDisk Ultra SD card, courtesy of H.Y. Group, a leading Israeli electrical goods importer. 

We liked Hylton's entry so much we've chosen it as our cover shot.

Pamela Levene, of Tel Aviv, took the picture above of her friend's daughter, Eliya, as she came down a slide. "Utter joy. She was expecting me to catch her – not snap her with my camera," explained Pamela.

Meanwhile, Elaine Sweiry took the photo below whilst on holiday in Venice. "I must admit that I caught the reflection on the water rather well!" said Elaine.
