Felt I Was With My People

Dear Merle,

The Celebration of ESRA's 40th Anniversary was magnificent. We both thoroughly enjoyed it.

ESRA has achieved so much, thanks to your vision, energy and compassion.

There is an old joke that goes something like this:

A man, living in Jerusalem, says:

"I want to be with my People."
"You are with your People, here in the heart of Israel," says his companion.
"No" he replies. "My people are in the South of France!"

Yesterday, I really felt I was with my People - Israelis all, immigrants from English speaking lands.

I realized that it is time for me to make my contribution.
