Relent, for what is love made of

Friendship is the balm that binds

The meeting of two minds

Two personalities

Two lives.

But love is more

Love is the meeting of two bodies

Two passions

Two souls.

Relent and do not deprive us of love.

I walked through a thicket

And I was caressed.

It coursed through me

And warmed my heart

And I responded.

Love can do that

But, not without caresses.

Morton Leibowitz

Morton Leibowitz, MD, FACP, FACC, a Professor of Internal Medicine and Cardiology at New York University, came to live in Israel with his wife Ruth in 1996. A resident of Raanana, he founded the Cardiac Prevention and Rehabilitation Center at Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba and currently serves as a senior research consultant in the Chief Physician’s office at Kupat Holim Clalit. His avocations are literature, poetry and history.

Morty and Ruth are the proud grandparents of 8 and enjoy the nachas of watching them grow up and proudly serve in Israel in Zahal and Sherut Leumi.
