How the Beatles got by with a Little Help from Friend Stephen

Stephen Maltz at the ESRA meeting where he spoke about his time with The Beatles

Beatle Mania recently hit ESRA Ramat Gan / Givatayim in the person of Stephen Maltz who captivated us with the adventures and misadventures during his four years with "the boys".

Stephen was the most influential amongst the key figures in the organization, directing the empire as it was growing and conceiving ways to harness and yet advance those four boys from Liverpool.

Without diminishing the astonishing success, which was as shocking to them as to the rest of the world, he shared with us the life behind the scenes, the successes and failures, the glory, glitz and the gossip.

No one, especially the Fab 4, ever dreamed that the name Beatles would be so remembered 50 years later.

The fans who attended and braved the very inclement weather, were also anxious to purchase Stephen's book - The Beatles, Apple and Me, the proceeds of which Stephen very generously donated to ESRA.
